Grilled Chicken Sausage and Peppers

Chad and I have hit a relationship milestone…our first big, grown-up, joint purchase!  After cohabitating for a little over a month now, it was about time we invested in a grill.  BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!  This was our first dinner made on the grill, super easy and mind blowlingly delicious. Am I kind of embarrassed to even call this a recipe since its so f*** easy?  Kind of, but I’m too obsessed not to share!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken sausages (I used kale and pepper)
  • 2 large bell peppers (red, orange, and yellow are sweetest)
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Servings: 4
  • Difficulty: easy

Directions

  • Cut the peppers and onions into strips and toss with olive oil
  • Place the chicken sausages over a high flame
  • Place on a grated grill pan over medium-high flame
  • Flip the chicken sausages after about 5 minutes
  • Toss the peppers and onions, they should be starting to caramelize and slightly char from the grill (this makes it extra yummy)
  • Once the sausages are cooked through and peppers and onions are tender remove from grill and serve
