Cilantro, Pineapple, Avocado Smoothie

I just got back from the most incredible experience of my life.  In fact, it was so surreal I don’t even know if I could consider it real life, two words:  Canyon Ranch.  From the moment I walked in the doors of this Miami location Resort and Spa I swear I had stepped into heaven (even the employees were breathtakingly beautiful; I swear it must be a requirement of the hiring process!)  My first stop in paradise?  The juice bar of course!  Before I hit my first fitness class I had to stop in for something to boost my energy for the intensity that was about to occur.  I opted for a green juice loaded with pineapple, cilantro, and kale.  Now that I am back to reality, I find myself not only missing the palm tree lined resort but also the refreshing juice that I first sipped as I became oriented to my Miami nirvana!  This smoothie is the perfect start to my day and help welcome be back to reality!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 an avocado
  • fresh jalepeno to taste (I used half, and make sure to remove the seeds!)
  • 1/2 cup of fresh, chopped pineapple
  • 1 tbsp of chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1/2 cup of green tea, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • Servings: 1
  • Difficulty: easy

Directions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender (yes, the whole lime!) and combine until well combined and liquidfied
