Avocado Banana Smoothie

Picky eater. The two words that I only hope will never describe my future children.  Two of the three children I nanny on my days off from the hospital however, tend to be on the picky side.  With two self proclaimed “foodie” parents, there is a clear irony to their simple palates.  I am constantly trying to find ways to incorporate (aka sneak) vegetables and nutrition into their pasta with butter, chicken nuggets and grilled cheeses.  With spring in full swing, the girls have been asking for milkshakes and berry smoothies.  With a giant fruit bowl filled with avocados, and bananas close to being overly ripe, I decided to blend together a bright green smoothie loaded monounsaturated fats, perfect for their brain development.  Topped with a few hot pink sprinkles, these simple and nutrient loaded smoothies were a hit with the girls (and the nanny too!)
